Pigs!!!

Our family got a pig that we are going to raise. Andy named it Derek. Derek named it Bacon. Amber named it Pork Chop (since she is already Ham. haha). And we are pretty sure our Dad is just naming it delicious. We are keeping it at our "grandparents" house. They are actually just good friends that we started calling grandma and grandpa.

Not only did we go to see the pigs but every kid found something to do on the McDonald Farm. Amber became best friends with their cat named Bella.

Derek got to drive the riding lawn mower around. He was stuck for awhile but he got out eventually.

That's our other Grandpa. We just call him Brother Mac usually because he is in the bishopric and he likes to be official when the relief society president is around.

Andy got to play with the dogs. I think that if we had left him there, he wouldn't even have noticed.

Grams and Gramps

I'm sure you are wondering what Grandma and Grandpa have been doing during their visit to our house. Here is what we find them doing everyday.

I guess we are either really boring or just too busy for them.

But we have done other things with them too. :)

Grandpa and Derek went to a car show. Grandpa loved the old cars and of course Derek loved the Mustangs. He took about 1000 pictures of them. They had lots of fun!

One night Dad was gone at work and Mom had a relief society thing so Amber took Grandma, Grandpa, and the boys out for frozen yogurt at Cultive. It was pretty dang yummy. So good that a few days later, everybodt went to the movies and had frozen yogurt afterwards. We went and saw Moneyball. Pretty good baseball movie except for when Andy leaned over and said, "I have to go pee." We still had a fun time.

Andy had a soccer game one Saturday. Everyone was there except for Amber, who had to work. These pictures here are curtesy of Derek Nielsen who was probably bored.

Well I thought everybody was there.....
Dad got home from work that morning and stayed up to watch the game but I guess he was just too tired to stay awake any longer.

Exciting Times of Amber and Derek

Amber and Derek went to the 7-Eleven just down the street to get us all a soda. The story goes that there was a creepy guy standing outside of the store asking for change. So when they got in the car, Amber decided to lock the doors just to be safe. Then she started the car and much to her dismay, the alarm went off...AGAIN!!! The first time it happened was at church while singles ward was going on. Luckily she knows how to disarm it but she was just too embarrased to do it in the parking lot so she just drove off. Let me remind you that the alarm doesn't turn off until 2 minutes after you have been driving. Amber was trying to get home so fast that well.....

Derek peed his pants. It's kind of hard to see but it's there.

JUST KIDDING!!!! It's just soda that was spilled from Amber's speedy driving.

Football Season Yet Again

This year Derek is playing flag football for his middle school. He is number 78. His position is right tackle, first string. The whole family went to his first game and he was AWESOME!!!! Got to love those sexy poses too!

Having Fun While the Mom is Away!!

So our mom was downstairs with her visiting teachers and well...we were a little bit bored. We grabbed a roll of our dad's duct tape and tackled Andy. As you can probably tell from the pictures he wasn't too happy but Amber and Derek had a great time!! Then it was Derek's turn. We had some pretty good laughs.

Summer Fun!!

We started out our summer going to Santa Barbara. Our dad was working there so we decided to drop by. It was way fun! Here we are at the sunny beach.

Here we are making medicine at the La Purisma Mission near Santa Barbara. The mission is supposed to be haunted but we never saw anything paranormal. ;) Although, the Ghost Adventures Crew was there......
